Laura McNeil is a 17-year-old prodigy, deeply expressive yet withdrawn, who begins to question the faith that once gave her a sense of direction. As her doubts about the Bahá’í teachings grow stronger, her relationship with her mother becomes strained, and even her performance at school starts to slip.
